Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Gaijin Ryu School Of Martial Arts's instructors and other staff members, starting with Leonard Woplin:

Leonard Woplin  (Chief Instructor) Has been studying the martial arts since 1978 & curently holds the higest rank of 7th Degree black belt (awarded in November 2008 by the British National Martial Arts Assocition & Black Belt International) In conjuction with this grade he also holds the following grades. Full MMA Coach 2nd Degree Black Belt Brithai 1st Degree Black Sash in Arnis 1st Degree Black Belt in Kickboxing 1st Dan Black Belt in Karate Jitsu (Kyokushikai style) Awarded B.N.M.A.A 2000 Milliennium award 5 Time National Instructor award winner 2001,2002,2003, 2004 & 2005 B.N.M.A.A National semi contact tournament Mananger (No Longer Active In This Position) Grappling Styles London Aera Representive for Karate (No Longer an active organisation) Coach to the 2009 U.K under 60kg junior MMA, under 70kg senior MMA British Champion & Gold & silver open MMA British Champions
